How Asphalt Pavement Roads Are Affected by Wildfires?

Premier Paving29 Aug, 2021Business

Asphalt is built on a base of asphalt driveway that can easily be burned in a fire, releasing few types of gases that can make the environment extremely dangerous and humans have survived homicide and suffocation. When the fire breaks out in a tunnel or on the surface, asphalt burns and releases large amounts of smoke, which can be toxic to human health. This means that asphalt is more likely to melt and evaporate when it catches fire. When asphalt surfaces go up in flames, this is usually due to oil on the road. Although the asphalt itself is unlikely to catch fire, any substance on the surface can catch fire. Oil can also catch fire and it is not uncommon for oil to burn on or under the asphalt.
