The Overseas Registration Examination (ORE) is an assessment conducted by the General Dental Council (GDC) in the United Kingdom. It is designed to evaluate the skills, knowledge, and clinical competence of dentists who have qualified outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland and wish to register with the GDC to practice dentistry in the UK. The ORE consists of three parts: 1. PART 1: A computer-based examination assessing theoretical knowledge in areas such as biomedical sciences, clinical dentistry, and dental law and ethics. 2. PART 2: A practical examination where candidates demonstrate clinical skills and competence in simulated clinical scenarios, including restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery.
