Harada confirms that Jun Kazama is playable in Tekken 8.

In Tekken 8, Jun Kazama is a playable character. In a panel discussion that followed the Tekken World Tour 2022 North America Regional Finals, Tekken Series Director Katsuhiro Harada verified the information. Since her debut in Tekken 2, Jun has gone missing and is thought to be dead. Only in flashbacks or cameos, she appeared in other Tekken games. She was last playable in the "non-canon" Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (2012) and Tekken Revolution (2013) games. Harada also affirmed that Jun just went missing and never truly passed away. Maybe the tale of Tekken 8 will tell us why she was gone all that time.
