Guitar companies are seeking sustainable wood options not only for saddles, but for bodies, necks, and guitar bridges as well. Some boutique brands use urban lumber (wood salvaged from city trees), or repurpose old furniture into instruments. The goal? To reduce the demand for freshly harvested tropical hardwoods.
