GRAP Stage II kicks in as Delhi’s air quality may turn ‘very poor’

10POINTER- The Commission for Air Quality Management directed New Delhi authorities to enforce stage II of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) with immediate effect. About Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) GRAP is a set of measures to be taken to reduce Air Pollution depending on the current level of pollution. Approved by the Supreme Court in 2016, the plan was formulated after several meetings that the Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) held with state government and experts. It was notified by the Union Environment Ministry in 2017 to fight air pollution, based on the SC directions.
