Fibrosarcoma is a highly malignant tumor of mesenchymal cell origin. It derives from the pathologically transformed spindle-shaped fibroblasts. It mainly arises in regions consistingof collagen-rich connective tissue. Fibrosarcoma is generally treated with Chemotherapy. However, in few cases where cancer has spread to parts like the liver some Fibrosarcoma is not treatable with chemotherapy. It usually affects middle-aged and older adults. It is prevalent more in men than in women. As per the National Institute of Cancer, only 5% of bone sarcomas are Fibrosarcomas.
