Glenn Phillips takes a spectacular catch to get rid of Stevie Eskinazi in T20 Blast game

Some of the biggest innovations in skills in the sport of cricket has come about in fielding. This has largely coincided with the growth of limited-overs cricket and now in 20-overs cricket where a single run can sometimes go on to decide the fate of the match, fielders are throwing themselves to save every run and take every catch even if it seems remotely possible at the outset. In the ongoing Vitality Blast T20 tournament, Gloucestershire cricketer Glenn Phillips took a spectacular catch to get rid of Middlesex batter Stevie Eskinazi during their encounter on Friday. In the fourth ball of third over of the Middlesex innings, Matt Taylor pitched one delivery wide outside the off-stump, allowing Eskinazi some space to carve it on the offside. Although the shot was aerial, it seemed to be hit perfectly in the gap. However, out of nowhere, Phillips stationed at backward point timed his jump perfectly to grab a superb catch.
