Glaucoma refers to a group of eye diseases that damage the optic nerve, often due to increased intraocular pressure. If left untreated, it can lead to permanent vision loss. While glaucoma typically affects people over 60, it can occur at any age. Unfortunately, it is challenging to detect in its early stages and can worsen over time without proper care. It is the second leading cause of blindness globally, and shockingly, a significant percentage of people—especially in developing countries—are unaware they have it.
