Mutations in a gene called MTOR means Smith-Kingsmore syndrome. The protein constructed from this gene, called mTOR, is a pivotal square of dual groups of proteins, famous as mTOR formidable 1 (mTORC1) and mTOR complex2 (mTORC2). These dual complexes send signals inside cells that umpire protein prolongation and control several mobile processes, including growth, division, and survival.
