General anesthesia drugs are used to put patient in a sleep-like state before a surgery or other medical procedure. A person does not feel pain because is completely unconscious. General anesthesia usually uses a combination of intravenous drugs and inhaled gasses (anesthetics). The primary objective of general anesthesia drugs is to induce analgesia, unconsciousness, and loss of reflexes of the autonomic nervous system. These drugs are used to perform medical procedures that are unbearably painful for the patient. General anesthesia drugs are widely used during chronic renal disease (CRD) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) surgeries. A range of medicines can be administered, in some cases, they are used for paralyzing the skeletal muscles.
