Rudraprayag is the coming together of the Rivers Alakananada and Mandakini. It is believed that sage Narad worshipped here for a number of years at the shrine of Rudranath. The holy place is located at the reunion point of the two rivers. Rudraprayag is one of the five popular prayags of Garhwal in Uttaranchal.
