From Hand-Painted Prints to Digital Arts – Story of Bollywood Posters

The first-ever poster was for the movie Kalyan Khajina (1924) which was hand hand-painted. Some Old Hindi Movie Posters took inspirations from Hollywood but were made unique with its artwork which responds to the cultural needs of that time. As India doesn�t have as much as literate people back then, Old Bollywood Movies used posters as their strategies to attract people into the theatres.
