The technology uses infrared thermography to improve visibility of objects in the dark. Thermal night vision cameras work by detecting heat emitted by a person or an object or an animal. The variation in the temperatures of the objects is captured to create images of the radiation, called thermograms. It displays the relative temperatures of various objects with different colors and shades.
