An exhaust gas recirculation valve is a device that recirculates part of the exhaust gas back to the combustion area (from the inlet) of the engine. This method is mainly aimed at decreasing the harmful emissions of nitrous oxide (HO2) being emitted during the exhaust process. The purpose of the exhaust gas recirculation valve is to decrease the size of the carbon monoxide (CO) particles that are produced during the exhaust process. The flow of exhaust gases through the exhaust gas recirculation valve is also increased, hence increasing the pressure and increasing the flow of exhaust gas.
