ETL testing is one of the software testings. Software testing is defined as the testing which is conducted to make sure that the actual results match the expected results without any defects. ETL testing is a type of testing performed to ensure that the data migrated from source to destination database is accurate and it has followed the valid transformation rules. ETL testing is a multi-level, data-centric process. It uses complex SQL queries to access, extract, transform and load millions of records contained in various source systems into a target data warehouse.
