ESDM Therapy as a Family-Centred Approach to Autism Treatment

One of the intervention settings that support young children with autism spectrum disorder is Early Start Denver Model. ESDM therapy increasingly gained recognition toward the intervention outcomes based on principles from developmental and applied behavioural analysis ABA practices focusing on early intervention toward improving the social, language, and cognitive skills of children diagnosed with autism. Another characteristic feature of the model is that it's family-centred, as it encourages parents to play a first-order role in the treatment process. This approach has proven pretty astonishing results because children receive the direction of both specially trained therapists and their families.
