Extended Producer Responsibility refers to the duty of any manufacturer of electrical or electronic equipment to manage e-waste in an environmentally responsible manner. Extended Producer Responsibility may include establishing "collection centres," "take back systems," or both, as well as fixed agreements with authorised recyclers or dismantlers, either individually or collectively through a Producer Responsibility Organization that producers identify in their EPR authorization.
