An entropion typically occurs on the lower eyelid when the skin and lashes rub painfully against the cornea. An entropion may cause the lid to turn in all the time or only when the eyes are closed tightly. This condition is usually the result of aging as the muscles around the eyes weaken. It can also arise from a muscle spasm, an injury or inflammatory conditions.
