Eales disease, an idiopathic, rare vascular disorder affecting primarily the retina, is characterized by inflammation and retinal vessels occlusions. It was first recognized in 1880 by British ophthalmologist Henry Eales. Mostly affects young men from India, Pakistan and South Asia.
