DSL vs Fiber Internet | Difference In DSL And Fiber Internet

Joey Len15 Dec, 2022Computer & Internet

DSL, or Digital Subscriber Line, is a type of internet connection that delivers broadband internet access via copper telephone lines. It is a transmission technology that employs a modem to convert digital signals into analogue signals for transmission over telephone lines. DSL is the most common type of broadband internet connection in the United States. Fiber internet, on the other hand, is a type of broadband connection that delivers data via fiber-optic cables. Fiber-optic cables are made of thin strands of glass or plastic and can transmit data much faster than traditional copper cables. Fiber connections are more reliable than DSL connections in general because they are less prone to interference and signal degradation.
