Drip irrigation technique was invented in the early 60s in Israel. They addressed it as ?underground irrigation?. The reason to develop such a technique was not commercial at all. It was something that was free, much bigger, and was situated near a leaking tap in the backyard. Later on, the use of drip irrigation has proven to save water, energy and labour also. But the initial concept was to grow bigger and better plants.
