PlaneHistoria Introducing the Douglas X-3 Stiletto, it was a single-seat, low-wing monoplane fighter aircraft built by the Douglas Aircraft Company. It was one of the first (and few) to combine a jet engine with a propeller at the tail. The X-3 was the only jet fighter to be built in large numbers and served in combat with several Allied air forces during World War II.
