In many states across the U.S., concealed handgun licenses (CHLs) and licenses to carry (LTCs) are two separate types of licenses with different individual requirements. However, as of September 2017, Texas combined both types. Now, handgun owners in Texas only need to fulfill the requirements for a license to carry, which covers both concealed and open carry options.
