An unidentified astronaut at the International Space Station (ISS) had a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in the jugular vein of his/her neck. This case was the first in which a blood clot had been found in an astronaut in space, and the case was treated by Dr. Stephan Moll and a team, which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).
