Peoples of all ages can suffer from hearing loss, and this may be caused due to different factors. There are three basic categories of hearing loss, these are sensorineural hearing loss, conductive hearing loss and mixed hearing loss. Sensorineural hearing loss occurs, when actual hearing nerve gets damaged, and it is most common type of hearing loss. It can be due to aging, injury, certain drugs, inherited condition or exposure to loud noise.
