The choice of ACB type depends on several factors such as the interrupting capacity, ease of maintenance, system size, and operational requirements. For low- to medium-power systems, plain or magnetic blowout types may suffice, whereas arc chute and cross-blast types are suited for higher-capacity, industrial-grade applications. For environments where downtime is costly, draw-out ACBs offer the flexibility of quick replacement without a complete system shutdown.
