Structural and architectural design are two different topics. Let?s start with the architecture design, it focuses on the design of the structure and it depends on the use of the structure. This type of design is also about the aesthetic appeal of the structure. The number of stories, size of the rooms, color of the interiors and exteriors, and the different decorative elements are taken into consideration by the architect. Architects use their knowledge to design the building layout of the project. On the other hand, structural design focuses on the design that supports the architectural structure. It involves the framing plan, beam, girder, and slab. The structural engineers know the building permits, test materials, etc. These engineers are involved in the foundation, demolition of the structure, and solar panel installation.
