Difference Between Local and Global Variables in Python

In Python, variables can be either local or global in scope. Local variables are defined within a function and only accessible within that function's code block. Global variables, on the other hand, are declared outside any function and can be accessed throughout the entire program. Local variables take precedence over global variables with the same name.
