“Marble murti” is any hand-carved marble figure or sculpture. In Hindu and Jain rituals, these murtis may depict gods, goddesses, or other religious figures. Marble Murtis are prized for their beauty and expertise. A marble god statue is handcrafted by chiselling and shaping the marble, then washing and finishing bringing out its natural lustre. Hindus, art collectors, and experts dispute whether machine-made marble murtis are better than hand-made ones. Both types of murtis offer advantages, but the choice depends on personal preferences.
