Demand Side Management (DSM) This program promise energy efficiency through agriculture demand-side management and MDSM. Agriculture Demand Side Management Program: Implementation of demonstration projects in rural drinking water pumping system: Under this scheme total 9 drinking water pump has been replaced with Energy Efficient pump. List of replaced Pump (Attachment) Agriculture pumps replaced by energy-efficient pump and smart meter. In Uttar Pradesh agricultural pump sets connected to grid are more than ten lakhs. Most of the agricultural pumps in UP are not having meter rather they pay electricity charges based on the KW rating. To reduce electricity consumption in agriculture sector, UP Government has decided to replace these old electric pump sets wi energy efficient pumps with smart meters. Under phase 1, approx. 9000 nos. Elect Pump sets shall be replaced while under phase 2 remaining 10,00,000 nos. shall be distributed by energy-efficient pumps.
