North Indian food in Bangkok is a big hit with the Indian tourists and expatriates. The masalas, soft and well-cooked meat, the lentils with sumptuous doses of ghee, and the soft tandoori rotis. Indians are famous or infamous for sticking to their tried and tested food preferences and prefer not to experiment with new flavours and tastes. While that never poses a problem as long as one is still in India, but expatriates and tourists visiting foreign shores have a tough time looking for the right places to dine in. An Indian restaurant seems to be their first lookout job in a new city abroad. This has a lot to do with the fact that many Indians are vegetarians or do not eat certain kind of meat. Well, don’t despair, at least while you are in Thailand. There are some nice Indian restaurants in Bangkok, which serve an array of Indian flavours, especially north and south Indian food.
