Deconstructive Contemplation

Peter Fenner04 Jan, 2023Health

Deconstructive contemplation is the process of critically examining something to understand its components and how they fit together. It is inspired by the perfect wisdom (prajnaparamita), Middle Path (madhyamaka), complete fulfillment (Dzogchen), and Contemplative (Zen) traditions of Buddhism. This can be done with physical objects, concepts, or beliefs. The goal is to break something down into its smaller parts to better understand it as a whole. This process can be helpful when trying to solve a problem or understand a complex issue. It can also be used to challenge assumptions or to find flaws in an argument. By critically examining the components of something, we can often gain a greater understanding of it.
