Hypothesis testing is a statistical technique used to determine whether a hypothesis about a population parameter is supported by sample data. In hypothesis testing, a null hypothesis (H0) is formulated, which represents the status quo or the assumption that there is no significant difference or relationship between two variables. An alternative hypothesis (Ha) is also formulated, which represents the opposite of the null hypothesis, and is what the researcher wants to prove.
