CPC training is designed to improve road safety and maintain high driving standards among professional drivers. It was introduced under European Union regulations and is enforced in the UK by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). It applies to all drivers who operate vehicles over 3.5 tonnes or those who transport passengers for commercial purposes.
