CORTEN STEEL - Applications and Benefits

Corten Steel is a group of steel alloys that are frequently used in outdoor construction work. They were designed to minimize the need for painting, and if left outdoors, exposed to the elements, they will develop a rusty appearance within months. The name COR-TEN are distinguishing between two properties of this type of steel: corrosion resistance and tensile strength. They are also called Corrosion Resistant Plates.
