Dr. Nakfoor attended the University of Michigan and earned an undergraduate degree in engineering. He then graduated with honors at the top of his class from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. He went on to earn his M.S. at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in the Department of Orthodontics. In 2008, Dr. Nakfoor earned the status of Diplomate from the American Board of Orthodontics and was re-certified in 2020. It is a distinction attained by only 33% of orthodontists in the United States.
