In 2017, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has issued IEPF rules, which stands for Investors Education and Protection Fund Authority Rules which states that any money dividend shall be transferred to the company where the person had invested to the Investors Education and Protection Fund, after 7 years and 37 days from the day of declaration of dividend.
