It usually starts in Class 10 or 11. Someone in school mentions they are “preparing for the SAT”. A counsellor brings it up during a study abroad session. A university website casually lists it under “standardised test requirements”. Suddenly, it feels important, but unclear. Students often assume the SAT is only for geniuses, toppers, or those planning Ivy League universities. Others believe is outdated and optional. Some think tests memorisation. Most are unsure when to take the exam, why matters, how actually impacts admissions.
