Clear Aligners; an Alternative to Traditional Braces without Metal Wire or Brackets

Clear aligners, sometimes referred to as invisible aligners, are clear plastic forms of invisible braces usually used to straighten teeth for appropriate positioning of teeth. Clear aligners over time have gone through several modifications, which makes analysis of effectiveness more difficult over time. As with most other cosmetic dental treatments, there are advantages and disadvantages associated with clear aligners. Most notably, because they are clear and can be seen, many dentists feel that patients who need clear aligners find them less intimidating than other types of braces.
