CAUSTIC RECOVERY PLANT
CentPro designed and constructed a caustic recovery plant that is primarily a multi-effect evaporation plant. The lye (caustic soda) is re-concentrated in the caustic recovery process by heating it in a heat exchanger. Furthermore, when the lye reaches the evaporator, water evaporation releases a substantial amount of vapour, which gradually raises concentration.
