The next phase of the Canadian border opening begins in August for US tourists and in September for tourists from all over the world. Unless the COVID situation is under control, Canada will begin accepting US citizens and permanent residents from the U.S. as early as August 9th. The border will be reopened for fully vaccinated travelers from all countries on September 7th. Fully vaccinated travelers no longer have to do when they arrive with an eight-day test, but they may be subject to a fair border test. Starting August 9, the other five airports will once again host a foreign war. Airports in Halifax, Quebec City, Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Edmonton will now be open to international travelers. Passengers are still expected to comply with public health guidelines.
