Using IP technology with advanced H.264 encoding allows you to send your HDMI signals upto 400ft away using standard network switches and routers making your project efficient and economical. The H.264 encoding uses the most advanced compression technology available to compress your AV signal and send it over IP networks with almost no quality loss. Put side by side with uncompressed signals it is hard for the untrained eye to notice the difference. HDMI over IP Extenders can work in a One to One configuration without a gigabit switch just like any of our others HDMI Extenders. In this configuration it is simply plug and play?you connect your source to the IP transmitter (TX) with an HDMI cable, then connect your Cat6 cable from that TX all the way to your Receiver (RX), then your RX to your display with an HDMI cable. Power everything on and you will now see your source on your display.
