Brain cancer, which most doctors refer to as a brain tumor, is a cancerous or non-cancerous mass or growth of abnormal cells in the brain. It rarely spreads to other parts of the body, but it can spread through the brain tissue. Even so-called benign brain tumors can grow, press on and destroy normal brain tissue, which can lead to serious or sometimes even life-threatening damage.
