Dr. Hugen earned his medical degree at Loyola University Chicago, where we graduated cum laude. He completed his internship and residency training in the same location, where he also received the Traveling Fellowship Award for the best research project by a young urologist at the North Central Section American Urology Association?s annual meeting. After completing his residency, Dr. Hugen served as a urologist in the United States Air Force for four years. Next, he completed a Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at the University of Southern California before joining the UC Irvine Health faculty.
