The Combined Defence Services Examination is administered by the Union Public Service Commission. (CDS Exam) to recruit Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. The Examination is conducted biannually. The Examination is generally notified in October and June, and the examinations are conducted in February and November, respectively. Only unmarried male/ female graduates are eligible to appear for the exam. Candidates successfully clear the Examination and join their respective Academies once they are recommended in the Service Selection Board Interview (SSB).
