BCCI to use new software as an experiment to tackle age fraud

The BCCI is set to use BoneXpert software as an experiment to detect age fraud alongside the existing TW3 method with an aim to save 80% of the cost in the process. The BCCI has a zero-tolerance policy for age fraud and is currently using the TW3 method. This method is based on an X-ray of the left hand and wrist for age determination. The current method costs Rs 2400 per bone test and needs 3-4 days for results. While the usage of BoneXpert Software will give instantaneous results and cost only Rs 288
