BCCI is ready to break the IPL's VIVO connection in the face of opposition from fans

Maharashtra Today06 Aug, 2020News

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a major decision in the wake of protests over the Chinese link to the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chinese mobile company Vivo will no longer be the league sponsor of the IPL. The board has decided to distance itself from Vivo for the 13th edition of the IPL. According to a report, an IPL franchise called seven other franchises on Monday evening and said that Vivo is no longer the title sponsor. This decision has been taken for at least the 13th season. However, the BCCI is unhappy that the board's decision was made public by the franchisee in this manner.
