BBU-Baseband Unit-In Telecom

Huaxuntelecom22 Aug, 2024Entertainment

BBU (Baseband Unit) processes original signals in the base frequency band before modulation. It has a digital signal processor to convert between analog and digital signals. The BBU, along with the RRU (Radio Remote Unit), forms the BTS (Base Transceiver Station). The BBU is connected to the RRU via CPRI (Common Public Radio Interface) fiber cable. Key functions of the BBU include providing CPRI ports to communicate with RRUs, processing uplink and downlink baseband signals, and managing the eNodeB through operation and maintenance. Common components of the BBU include the FAN, LBBP, UMPT, and UPEU.
