Amazon Web Services debuted in 2002. It was officially launched in 2006, with three services: Amazon S3 cloud storage, SQS, and EC2. Chris Pinkham and Benjamin Black proposed the AWS platform and began offering its services in 2003. The founders claimed that AWS will provide security features, reduce the cost of server maintenance, and developers will not have to worry about where their data is stored.
