Avinash Sable broke the 3000m Steeplechase national record for the 9th time as he clocked 8:11.20 to win India?s first-ever Steeplechase medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham on Saturday. He joins Priyanka Goswami (silver medal in 10,000m racewalk), Murali Sreeshankar (silver medal in long jump) and Tejaswin Shankar (bronze medal in high jump) as India?s fourth medallist in track and field at CWG 2022.
